MARK HENRY
Mark Henry Thienes is the great-great-grandson of Steve Gillis, who was not only an author himself, but was best friends with Mark Twain. Steve and Mark even lived together near Angel’s Camp, California, during the 1860s when Twain wrote “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County,” the story that got Twain national attention.
During his childhood, Thienes’s parents would take him to frequently visit the cabin where Twain and Gillis lived and hear stories about their gold mining ventures, bar room shenanigans, and of course, Twain’s success as a writer. Mark Thienes was even named after Mark Twain. This inspired and destined Mark to become a writer himself.
Today, Thienes, a native Californian, lives in the foothills near the capitol, Sacramento, with his wife. His writing success started in the business and self-help genres.
He is the author of the following books:
-
Gapology: How Winning Leaders Close Performance Gaps
-
IMBAR: The Pathway of Transformation
-
Speed of Purpose: Achieve 2.X Productivity and Beyond
And now, he is entering the sci-fi arena with his first work of fiction, UNRAVELED.
